It’s weird but fun
Barry Keoghan is very well known already but this is going to send him to new heights. I still remember him being a stand out in his small appearances in Love/Hate all those years ago. The stuff he does in the movie does give the creep factor especially if you just see clips on social media. I nearly didn’t bother watching the movie because of it but I’m glad I did.
I’m not saying the context made those clips any less disgusting, but them just being in the overall theme of the movie made it more of a rollercoaster that was thrilling.
I’m not giving any spoilers here, I just wanted to put down my initial reaction and it was one of the best movies I’ve seen in a while. It’s one of those that you might not rewatch, as most of the fun is not nowing exactly what’s happening even though you do have somewhat of an idea. So you might not be too suprised by the ending but are still left with wow that was great kind of feeling.
All I can say is that I loved it.
